g. roslie’s ModScape series - ‘blue room’

each one-of-a-kind ModScape textile art is conceived as a visual experience of a natural landscape found wandering the earth, memorized in the mind’s eye or by photograph & re-created in a minimalist, modern abstract fashion onto a textile art form combining my love of natural places, natural dyeing, textiles, modern design & art. my aim is to create a sense of peace, calm & contemplative reflection through the work i do for both myself and the viewer.

: blue room - the sea is an endless inspiration & being so far away from my beloved ocean, i am pulled as the tides do to create an oceanic themed scape to remember the feeling of looking into the vast blue body of water that so easily opens up one’s heart & head space & helps us connect to our third eye. this beautiful haiku is fitting in it’s depth & simplicity:

measurement: 51” w x 56” l (includes a beautiful modern solid white oak frame that slips into the pocket on the back of the textile with 2 meticulously drilled keyholes for quick easy hanging - frame made by ry roslie)

each textile art is made from naturally hand dyed flax linens. the backing is a natural organic cotton muslin.

note: please keep all naturally dyed textile away from direct exposure to sunlight to prevent premature fading & degrading of fabric.
