g. roslie’s ModScape series - ‘dusk’
each one-of-a-kind ModScape textile art is conceived as a visual experience of a natural landscape found wandering the earth, memorized in the mind’s eye or by photograph & re-created in a minimalist, modern abstract fashion onto a textile art form combining my love of natural places, natural dyeing, textiles, abstract/modern design & art.
: dusk - a minimalist abstract modern expression of the first snow falling on blake street in denver with the colors of the sky turning the most incredible shade of mauve as dusk sets in.

naturally dyed linen, organic cotton, wood frame
each textile art is made of all naturally hand dyed linen. the reverse side is organic cotton muslin. the magnetic open wooden frame lends a beautiful structure to the textile art while keeping it tactile & accessible.
naturally dyed textiles fade gradually & gracefully with time in what we call ‘mellowing’. in order to prevent the textile from prematurely aging, please hang away from direct sunlight which will rapidly fade & deteriorate the fabric. also, the textile art is not meant to be washed. a light dusting is all that is recommended. you may iron the piece, if necessary, using regular linen setting with a light muslin covering the face of the piece & lightly misted with ph neutral water.
